NBa live 09 wishlist

Talk about NBA Live 09 here.

Shit, all they need to do to satisfy me for a few years is get rid of the comeback code, make a realistic simulation engine and make the AI coaches and GM's even remotely intelligent to make me happy. (No Stromile Swift for Jeff Green or Jorge Garbajosa at PG please)

Ideally, such a feature could affect training but at the very least could be helpful in learning some of the finer points of gameplay and getting used to your players without having to worry about W/L records.

Well 09 isn't coming for PC. But for the 360, I basically agree with everything said here. I think it'd be interesting if they had a create team option and went pretty deep with it.

I loved NBA Live 08, the changes you made from 07 really worked. You still need to fix the dunks. There are so many generic dunks in the game, everyone can do the same one. Kobe's and LeBron's dunks are totally different and you should show that in the game; thats just an example. You should also enhance the ball handling in the game, that's one of the things that 2k has over you.

The recent brief Q&A sessions posted on the official NBA Live 08 website have mentioned new animations for shots around the basket and new signature dunks in NBA Live 09. Personally I'd like to see some more basic dunks in the game, particularly those performed from a standing start when you are underneath the basket.

I think releasing it later would help NBA Live that way at least most of the rookies would get in the game and maybe can check the game more so that it can be released nearly bug free. Also it would give time to put more things in the game. It would be worth waiting til nov for Live if they added many of the things that most people are wanting on the wishlist.

The release date and roster cutoff dates are decided by the NBA.

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, as I haven't read through this thread yet, but I really want the ability to create a team.

When creating a team you're allowed to:

Choose your city. For this option I'd just expect a drop down where you scroll through and pick a city available. That way they can have voice overs for the commentators.

Choose your arena. For this option I'd just allow the player to type it in, I wouldn't expect voice overs, but if they could, that'd be rad. It'd also be sick if you could design the interior of the arena and the court as well.

Choose your name. Uhh, I'd probably just go with a drop down list again, I'd make sure to include a ton of options though.

Choose your logo. For every option in the "choose your name" logo there should be a logo to go along with it. I think it'd be rad if you could upload an image from your hard drive as well.

Choose your colors. Uh, in this section I think I'd just have it to where you pick five colors out of a color palette. They'd be labeled "team color 1", team color 2", etc...

Choose the style of your jersey. You'd be able to choose how the jersey was cut, the style of the numbers, whether there is a pattern going up the side, all that stuff. You also plugin your colors here. Say "team color 1" was black. If you put team color 1 for the color of the jersey, the jersey would be black. Simple.

Pretty much you get to decide everything, but when you finish creating your team, there'd be an extra feature in dynasty mode. Along with fantasy draft, 2008-2009 draft, etc... There'd be expansion draft. This option you can only choose with a created team. You start off with 0 players, enter an expansion draft, then enter the off-season where you enter the rookie draft, sign free agents, etc.

It's be sick!

Well, what's EA waiting for then?
They have that feature in Madden right?
One would think they'd spread it across all of their games...

Your guess is as good as mine. I suppose they're simply focusing on other areas.
