I landed a good pick onetime from washington top 5 early in the season...and I didn't knw and I traded that pick 2 jazz I should've traded another 1st rder instead of that one...the jazz ended with a top 5 pick lol

No doubt, the CPU isn't so opposed to trading for potential lottery picks. ;)

So, I'm going into the 12-13 season, and Wade is gonna hit 31 (I think), his contract also expires ending this season. Should I trade him now before he starts declining, or wait it out 1 more season (as in, resign him for 1 more year and see where his numbers are at)?

(For the record, I'm thinking of trading him for OJ Mayo and another good generated rookie power forward the bulls have, good or no?)

With his rating, it'll probably be a while before he declines to a point where it's difficult to trade him so if he's still getting the job done you could certainly afford to sign him for another year at least.

Okay, so I have a question, I acquired Tyrus Thomas [85, PF, 29yro] as a free-agent, which made my lineup:

C - Generated Rookie [71]
PF - Tyrus Thomas [85]
SF - BronBron [99]
SG - D. Wright [74]
PG - D. Rose [95]

6th Man: A. Randolph [81]

And I traded Tyrus Thomas for Bartholomew Howard [82, C, 30yro] and a 1st Round Pick. Which made my lineup:

C - B. Howard [82]
PF - A. Randolph [81]
SF - BronBron [99]
SG - D. Wright [74]
PG - D. Rose [95]

Now, to me, that looks better, but my team rating dropped from 89 to 86. Is it a bad move?

I have a save before the deadline, so let me know.

Losing an 85 overall player is certainly going to impact the calculation of your overall team rating but it's not as bad a move as that drop would superficially suggest since you now have two higher rated players alongside LeBron in the frontcourt whereas before you only had the one. The only reason you might want to try something else is if you wanted to try and get someone rated higher for Thomas, since you traded 85 for 82.

Traded nene (74) for luke walton (66) jackman (66)and chris anderson (59)

Traded walton (66) along with 2 2nd rd pics for kwame (69)

Traded Julian wright (70) and a 2nd rd pick for martell webster (73)

Martell webster (73), 2nd rd pick and chris anderson (59) for david lee (77)!

I think that last trade was a steal...!

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

I have come back with another one of my weird, doubtful trades.

Traded BronBron [Age 31, 99 overall] for Generated Rookie [NBA Comparison: Kobe Bryant, 93 overall, 2nd Draft Pick in "Very Strong" Draft, Age 26, 2 Year Pro] and Tyrus Thomas [85 overall].

I got worried about the big decline after hitting that dreadful age 32 mark (the Wade I traded is 33 and already down to 86 overall). So, good deal or bad deal?

My lineup post-trade:

C - B. Howard [83]
PF - T. Thomas [85]
SF - A. Randolph [81]
SG - D. Salmons [93]
PG - D. Rose [96]

What do you guys think?

Deron williams would have to be traded for rose is my guess...if you can't find a way to trade him for rose perhaps try tradin him for aldridge and then tradin aldridge for rose...that's how I was able to get rose..

Well if you still have terrance kinsey you could package a two for 1 deal and or add one of your 2nd round picks? By the way, how did you get dwight howard? That's a great front quart, with two good defenders.

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Tue Mar 10, 2009 5:22 am

I had tow first round picks and trade those picks to Orland.

Who is terrance kinsey

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Tue Mar 10, 2009 10:21 am

Terrence Kinsey currently plays for the Cavaliers. He should be on your roster if you haven't released or traded him already.

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Tue Mar 10, 2009 10:39 am

I have OJ Mayo already but i need derick rose

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Tue Mar 10, 2009 10:41 am

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Tue Mar 10, 2009 10:49 am

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Tue Mar 10, 2009 2:03 pm

Well I trade out Wally and Michael Finley for OJ Mayo his been a geart spark off the bench.
Now I need to get Derick Rose who plays for the Heat now.
These are the players I could trade Dlante West,Kevin Love,Z,Bobby Simmons.

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Sat Mar 14, 2009 1:19 am

Now i have Derrick Rose and OL Mayo.

I want to package Vince Carter because he has a fat contract what could I get for him?

Re: Trade & Roster Advice

Sat Mar 14, 2009 9:13 am

What's his current overall rating? If it's in the 90s or pushing 90s you should be able to get a couple of decently rated players or perhaps a young star on the way up. With his contract I'd imagine you'll need to shoot for a couple of players or take on some filler, perhaps in the form of an expiring contract.

Re: Trade & Roster Advice
