It sounds like pretty much the same system they had up until NBA Live 08 on the Xbox 360/PS3, only now there'll be a visual guide. Presumably you'll be able to switch it off.

Considering the initial announcement, plus Peter Moore's recent blog entry confirming NBA Live 09 will not be released for the PC, I would suggest that it's a mistake on 1up.com's part. It's probably just a copy and paste error, which I can tell you firsthand is very easily done when maintaining a website.

I fucking knew that something like playing from the perspective of a player had to be part of the game. I said i'd probably buy live 09 if it was the big announcement...and i'm sticking to my word. I'll probably end up renting both 2k9 and live 09 and weigh the two first though. After 3 years...EA finally has my attention again....

I just hope they don't ruin all of this, with an 82 game only Dynasty mode. I really hope they bring back the option for 28, and 56 game seasons.
