Isn't that one of his weakest stats?

What about Tyson Chandler? It'll probably take another couple of players in the deal to balance salaries on both sides but his defensive abilities should be suitable and depending on how often you're dumping it inside to Shaq, he could pick up enough of the scoring load with Amar'e and a couple of your other key players picking up the rest.

Yeah, I tried that, but NO wouldn't accept anything, I also tried for Al Jefferson and Andrew Bogut, both young centers rated above 80.
The only trade that the trade block comes up with is shaq for Kenyon Martin (78) and Gerald Green (69), which is not what I want.
I'm not worried about the scoring, 8ppg isn't hard, I'm more worried about the rebounding.

That's unfortunate. Keep trying though, as teams start to lose they become more open to trades so you might be fortunate enough to make one of those deals as the season progresses.

where do you think i need to improve on this roster

C: zaza pachulia-71
C: al horford-76
PF: marvin williams-75
PF: walter hermann-69
PF: solomon jones-59
SF: josh smith-79
SF: maurice evans-69
SG: joe johnson-83
SG: ronald murray-68
SG: salim stoudamaire-64
PG: mike bibby-77
PG: acie law-70

Re: Rate My Team

Thu Apr 23, 2009 2:46 pm

Maybe trade walter and solomon for a better backup power forward like maybe, tyrus thomas?

Re: Rate My Team

Mon Apr 27, 2009 2:48 pm

I'm back!

Found a trade for Shaq.

Traded Shaq (83) and Bobby Brown (58) to Cleveland for Z. Ilgauskis (75), A. Pavlovic (67) and JJ Hickson (67).
then traded A. Pavlovic and A. Parrish (59) and 1st round pick to Memphis for SG/SF Stanley Lovell (Gen. Rookie (61)), Greg Buckner (60) and 1st Round pick.

The team now looks like this:
C: Ilgauskis, Lopez, Jawai
PF: Stoudemire, Diaw, Hickson, Amundson
SF: Hill, Moon, Lovell
SG: Barbosa, Tucker, Buckner
PG: Nash, Dragic

I know the trade looks like a downgrade, but Z scores more and rebounds more for me, much better player in the game imo.

Re: Rate My Team

Mon Apr 27, 2009 11:56 pm

If it works for you then it's a good deal, Shaq's quite likely to decline or retire on you quite abruptly whereas Ilgauskas should have a few more years (and you can work out another trade down the line anyway if you so choose) and you've been able to give yourself some depth and options for the future at the same time. Nicely done. :)

Thanks mate, Ilguaskis' contract runs out at the end of the year, I got an early draft pick, so i might not resign him, I'll what happens, I'm only a month into the season

For you that certainly isn't a downgrade, you got a great deal. You got a first round pick? What is or was the draft like is it strong? Plush you got a young forward in j.j. hickson. And the the first round pick is on top of that memphis, so you should have a great position in the draft, the trades were excellent.

Even better, if he doesn't work out he comes off the books at the end of the year. Otherwise you could make another deal at the deadline, you've certainly left yourself with options moving forward.

Sf- Vin O'farrell (He was the number 2 pick in my draft after the 1st season and started out with 87 ovral as rookie
Sg- Oj Mayo (86)
Pg- Derek Rose (85)

I play only about 1/4 of the games each season but my team never wins any simulated games so i have yet to make the playoffs.

Re: Rate My Team

Mon May 11, 2009 9:37 am

It's surprising you don't win more games in simulation, that's an impressive lineup of young talent. What's your bench like?

Re: Rate My Team

Sun May 24, 2009 2:18 pm

I started with the lakers then traded almost everybody

C- Dwight Howard
PF- Elton Brand
SF- Corey Maggette
SG- Jason Richardson

I have a couple of starting fives I'd like to get your opinions on (both are through Fantasy Draft).

Fantasy Miami
-----------
G. Oden
A. Horford
J. Kapono
D. Wade
C. Paul

Fantasy Portland
----------
G. Oden
A. Bargnani
K. Durant
B. Roy
R. Rondo

Re: Rate My Team

Tue Jun 16, 2009 8:34 pm

Tough call. Kapono kind of stands out as the weak link in the Miami lineup but the rest of the lineup is impressive. The Portland lineup is a bit more balanced but doesn't have quite as much "star power" as a starting five that features Wade and Paul in the backcourt.
