Official NBA Live 09 Wishlist Thread

Talk about NBA Live 09 here.

I wish we could do all those freestyle things on PC also, because I am one of hundreds, I mean, thousands who play on PC instead of xbox or PS.

Things I would like to see:

Dribbling superstars to have nice crossovers, that can actually brake the ankles of the opponent.
Ability to make some dribbling combinations yourself and mark it with a 'hotkey', so example if I create a player ( or edit ), I can make a combination of dribbling moves, example between the legs twice and behind the back or something, and how good, quick and clean it is ( depending on the skills of the player ), the better the crossover is, and it can actually be a killer one if the player has like 90+ dribbling skills, 90+ quickness and all, good example, Iverson.
A lot of more shoes.
Sleeves, headbands, bands and all those kind of stuff with different overlay or texture, you get it.
The training 'sleeve' kit, which covers all your body.

BIGGEST:
Some kind a dynasty mode, but as a player, you decide if you want to join the team that wants you, you are able to play only with that player, with the 1st person camera, you decide how much cash you earn and all that, how you train, what you train and so on, until the retirement.

I hope I gave you some ideas, and I would REALLY, Really like to see them ingame. Thanks.

A very nice wishlist. I've talked about this possible big addition before.
It's just like Fifa's Be-A-Pro mod.
I'd like to feel the game on the court. I'd like to be a player on the court who sees open teammates, passes, shoots from the first person camera. So, that would be amazing.

The finalised Wishlist and Wishlist Supplement will be submitted in the next few days. In the meantime, I've been sure to inform the NBA Live team about this thread.

I have some more :)

I was also thinking that instead of having all these high flying dunks, I think there should be more around the basket moves, like layups. There may be only 10 dunks in an NBA game on average (Unless Dwight Howard is playing). Instead of jumping over the whole team and slamming on em, there should be some up and under moves. Basically maneuvering moves using the glass. MAkes the game more authentic.

Also, I think the whole "Half court game" should be redone. Go back to how you guys did it in NBA Live 05. Minus all the animation control. Since now we can break out of animations in next gen, I think it would make the game easier especially for back cuts and curls. Make play running more realistic. Cause right now it looks like players go from point A or point B and don't even recognize scoring opportunities on broken down defense

Give us the option of making our own plays or editing current plays. Have an option called Fast break Plays. BUT don't have it play call, but give us the option in the team specific options menu to run team specific fast break plays, cause when you run a fast break some teams just run to half court positions. Maybe about 2 or 3. Giving this option makes the user know exactly the CPU players should be. and who which positions should be running with the guard

Put less rotation on the ball

I can't stress it enough. The dunks DEFINITELY need to be redone. We need smoother dunk animations, smoother transitions into the dunk/layups animations. And some new Defense animations to help the game play better on the defensive end. OR JUST GET THE NBA STREET GUYS to do the dunk and layups also, they did a fine job on the dribbling.

PG domination has to go. They should be running team specific plays. Unless they can recognize scoring abilities and get a foul drawed, there should be more ball movement. Smart ball movement

EDIT: Enable faster inbounding.

The list has been updated and is, in my view, pretty much complete and comprehensive. It will be submitted shortly, so if there's any last minute ideas or corrections, please post them ASAP. :)
