NBA Live 09 will not be released for the PC

EA just cant accept and just cant do anything because they get embarrassed because here in NLSC, in the others and many people can made their f*Ckin development better... WTF?!?! can you even call that development??? they do nothing for the PC version of 08... they just cant accept that people here can do way much better with a whopping updates than they can... its always better to have PC version... the simplest example is the easy update of rosters... that one is enough to tell that PC is better... just !@#$%^&* for EA!.. they B#*^ $**7!!!...

Just read the news on the main page..All I can say is this is very much frustrating for me and all of the Live fans out there, especially if they have all games from Live 99 I think. All PC Live games, I have them all, btw.

Yep, I've got 'em all since Live 95. Since the 95 version I got for SNES, everything I've gotten has been on the PC. Was utterly pissed off in 2002, and that was 1 YEAR without the game. Now, it's indefinitely.

These past 2 years have really soured me on this series but I still had hope that they might turn it around. Now, the hope is gone. Screw you jackasses. I'm never buying an EA game again.

By the way, I just downloaded NHL 08 for free. Put that up your pooper and smoke it Mr. EA Sports president. You won't be seeing another dollar from me.

All venting aside, I don't think that's one of the issues they're referring to in either announcement. I'm more inclined to think that the number of sales and focus on the console market is what led to this unfortunate news.

Geez, I stop visiting the site for a month and EA has axed Live 09 from its lineup? I am shocked.

Y'all gotta remember the last time they did this... 2002 i believe, but they came back strong in Live 2003 to 2006. Hopefully they're hiring a new bunch of programmers to overhaul the game and make it next gen for Live 2010.

Just means i've gotta by a PS3 at the end of the year. About time i bought one anyway.... Gran Turismo and GTA comes out soon.

No need to be so abrasive, vhan. I don't think Buckley was being malicious at all in his post. Although we've always been PC focused because of our modding community, the NLSC remains a site for NBA Live players on all platforms. Please leave the moderating to the NLSC team. Thanks.

I don't think you understood what he was saying. It does suck for PC users that don't have a console because 09 was cancelled. It doesn't mean pc users who don't have consoles suck.

Both my favorite Ea sports games gone. Madden and Live. The only hope I hold onto is that there are great communities for both games and they will mod the '08 versions to be better than the 'EA add one extra bit and call it a new version' anyway.

I expect the most enthusiastic patchmakers will continue to mod NBA Live 08 but given the popularity of earlier versions they'll get their share of attention too in the absence of a PC version of NBA Live 09. The NBA Live PC project is centred around NBA Live 06 for that very reason.

Just read the news now. Sorry to hear that. You guys probably feel like I do when College Hoops 2k series was canned. I'm sure quite a few of you will do what I do, play legacies for years & hope patchmakers continue to release new rosters

That's really the only option for PC users right now, the same as the last time there wasn't a PC version. I expect anyone who enjoys console gaming as well might make the transition, though I'm guessing a portion of those people may explore the competition.

I think there will be a PC version for Live 10 or 2010..whatever they want to call it..the guys from EA just want to perfect the game for the nextgen consoles so temporarily, they will leave the pc version behind..same thing they did the last time around..when they mastered the game for the ps2 and the xbox..

but i don't care that much..i don't have all the versions of playstation..i don't have any console..i only have a pc that can only play live 2001..i do the roster updates and patching on my own..i want to publish my works but i think the market is too small for that thing..no one is interested..

You know, I was forced to buy a 2nd hand xbox 360 because of this news.

It's safe to say that Live 09 was gonna be a disappointment anyway so we're not really missing out on something lol

Assuming it would have been a PS2 port, then that's probably true. If they ported the 360/PS3 version it may not have been well received by everyone but presumably would have been an improvement over NBA Live 08 PC.

Don't have a console, and I'm damn sure not going to shell out a crapload of money to get one, so thanks a lot EA, hope you guys burn in hell for this!!!!

Dude go ahead!! I picked up 2k8 instead of live 08 and i never will look back at EA Sports again fuck them 2K is the way to go....and wtf??? some of you are STILL gonna buy Live 09 for 360 wut a joke!!
