First NBA Live 09 Screenshots & Finals Sim

EA Sports have sent us our first screenshots for NBA Live 09, which you can find in our newly added NBA Live 09 Media section. These seven screenshots feature the Lakers and Celtics, taken from the NBA Live 09 2008 NBA Finals simulation.

EA Sports have simulated the 2008 Finals using NBA Live 09 and sent us a press release with the results, which you can read below. NBA Live 09's release date has also been revealed to be October 7th.

Thanks for this update, Andrew They are new to me! It looks pretty promising, maybe it's time for me to get an XBOX However I thought that they could have done better with the crowd on a high graphic consoles though Garnett look like asian... still, it's just a first screenshot

Still have to see the crowd in motion before I really judge it, but I'm looking forward to seeing the actually game footage. Even the demo, if they release one

My guess is that there will be a demo probably coming sometime in September.

the crowd and the cheerleaders is the best new feature of the game..
so this means they will bring back the half time show?

5. Have you guys changed up the presentation style of the game, adding more half- time features, change the player intros etc?

BU: yes- we’re adding a lot of that this year- new intros, cheerleaders and mascots- lots of stuff to improve presentation.

He doesn't say anything about the half-time, but I'm sure the first part of this answer answers it a little

If it's just real highlight clips as it was back in the day I'm not sure it's worth it. It was a nice feature and all but in my opinion once you've seen all the clips a few times they have limited appeal. A compilation of highlights from the game you're playing on the other hand, like the highlight reel at the end of games in NBA Live 08, would be a more worthwhile addition.
