How to use dynasty drafts for an awesome team

Sat Mar 21, 2009 5:44 am

Hey, this is my first topic:

This is what i did in my dynasty to have a team full of 80 overalls, and young players. It starts off kind of slow but as you get players you get rockin. Start off by picking a solid team, or do a fantasy draft.

For example:
I chose the Boston Celtics ( -29.89m cap space) and simed the season to the draft dead line(turn off simulation intervation to speed this up). I then looked at the mock draft and saw the bottom 8 draft picks. I traded Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, and other players to get the top five first round draft picks(If you are having troubles getting draft pick trades, turn on modify computer teams rosters so you may get the picks you want). Then sim to the end of the season. If you were lucky, and ended up with the top five draft picks then go into rookie scouting with the top rookie prospects, experiment with the playes and see who are good (you may have to do the draft multiple times to get the best players). I was lucky to get a strong draft, so I got the next LeBron James with 87 overall(look at their player comparison during the draft and take good players), along with some 70-82 overalls. With that you do the next season trading your rookies for some veteran players, such as picking up Nash for about three roockies. Try to pick up draft picks from teams you dont think have a good chance with success for the next draft. Repeat this till an awesome team occurs. Right now I have a 92 overall team with +34m cap space, and all rookies from drafts :D

If you do a fantasy draft, draft 3 amazing players then all 50 overalls so you have like 32m cap space then get your draft picks

Tell me how this works for you :D
