two questions...

hey all.. i just got the game and i have two questions..
1) How do I play a SEASON mode game? In all previous nba lives.. there was a season mode (not dynasty) where you just play one season. I can't seem to find this anywhere... there's only the dynasty option which can't implement the NBA 365 feature.
edit: well i manage to find a season mode... by simply switching the dynasty mode to season mode (when you create a dynasty)... however, even then, i still have to do all the hiring staff, etc... i just want to play a single season and have the NBA 365 feature work in it. what am i doing wrong?

2) In a dynasty mode, how do I train specific players? When I load my dynasty, there's no place to train them.. and i can't go back to the gym facility. The only place you can do training is in NBA academy and that is only if i QUIT the dynasty mode. Also, for training players, there's only a select few amount of players you can choose from when doing the skill challenges. Is it the skill challenges that help you boost your player ratings or am I totally looking in the wrong place?

1. When you start a new Dynasty game, can toggle between two types: Dynasty or Season. Select Season if you just want to play the one season.

2. Once a month you'll be given the option to enter the NBA Academy and train your players as well as run scrimmages. The skill challenges are indeed the method you use to train your players. The game will automatically select players for you to train, but you can change these players by selecting anyone else on your roster.

Thanks for your reply Andrew. Just a quick question though, I toggled in the Dynasty mode to select SEASON... however once it loaded, i'm still told to hire staff and all the other dynasty type things. Is this normal? Is the SEASON mode the same as Dynasty mode where you hire staff, choose a team direction, get dynasty points?
I remember in previous lives, a Season mode is just playing one season without all the dynasty points and staff hiring.... has it changed this year?
Does Season mode support NBA 365? b/c i know dynasty doesn't.

It still has those features in NBA Live 09 but you can set them to "Auto" so that you never have to worry about them and just play through the season like the old days. You can also turn off messages from the owner.

Season doesn't support NBA Live 365 either for the same reason Dynasty doesn't: it's its own NBA "reality" and not everyone had the game by opening night or plays their season at the same pace as the NBA season, so 365 really isn't suited for those modes.

Thanks again Andrew... so what is NBA live 365 for anyway? Is it just for the PLAY NOW mode where you only get to play one game?

Well, you can take an updated NBA Live 365 roster into Dynasty Mode but once you do, roster movement, player development and Player DNA depends on what happens during the course of a Dynasty game. Other than that, the day-to-day changes are experienced through Play Now and online modes.
