I wouldn't place any stock in that until the official announcement is made. Remember that most Wikipedia articles can be modified by anyone, so the information isn't always accurate. I remember a while ago the NBA 2K article kept getting vandalised with players like Kwame Brown being listed as the cover player for NBA 2K9.

Ideally, yes. That doesn't stop people from vandalising articles though, unless the administrators have changed the permissions on them.

Whats wrong with kevin durant? Just because he plays like kobe bryant did back in 97/98 doesn't mean the game will suck. :)

Nothing at all, though it doesn't look like he'll be the cover player. I thought he might be but as someone pointed out in the other thread, his arms don't match the silhouette. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the cover of one of the NBA games in the next few years.

Probably just random guesses at this point... we will all know for sure on the 25th...

Latest update reads "Features Kevin Durant on the cover. (not confirmed yet)", which still isn't all that appropriate (assuming it's incorrect, of course). We'll know for sure come the 25th.

It also does say that LeBron, Pierce and D-Will are other options..
Anyway, NBA Academy sounds somewhat interesting. (I'm guessing it's sort of the "Life Mode" people have been fantasizing about)

With the silhouette in the official site, I think the cover guy would be Brandon Roy. It's a wild guess. 8-)

It seems a reasonable guess but I'm still skeptical about it being Roy. He had a fine season but I would have thought they'd go for a higher profile player.

i still have yet to understand why in college games they try to simulate last year and put a college player from last year on there. like in ncaa football this year, people are talking abuot dominating with McFadden even though he's in the pros this year.

Because players get paid to be on the cover and you cant pay current college players because it would go against NCAA rules about receiving endorsements
