More falling down

Postby chinoy316 on Sat May 02, 2009 10:27 pm

I miss this part of nba 2k7. I didn't really play 2k8. Anyway, I miss the part of players falling down. I mean even your teammates fall down if you collide with them. I once dunked and 3 players fell down, one teammate. Here in 2k9, even using my 310 pound center, even if it's foul counted no one falls down. And when someone falls down on a foul it's usually only when blocking and charging foul. Anyone know how to increase the frequency of falls? Hehehe. Sorry for the weird question. *Plays "let the bodies hit the floor" in the background*

I once did the same thing with LeBron.
He dunked, defender fell down and got called for the foul. LeBron then stared at the crowd in the baseline then spread his arms, like his chalk ritual, and shouted similar to this. I could even hear the shout in the game. Later did I realise it was his 100th point (I was slider testing).
I cried when I saw him do that, been a long time since I saw a lively expression in a basketball videogame.

Gerald Wallace also tends to fall down and roll on the floor a lot when I use him to go hard to the basket. He falls down and rolls backwards, making it look like he might snap his neck any moment.

Lol at the crying part shadowgrin. :D But anyway, damn! I've never seen Lebron do that. But Shaq does these gestures a lot. I gave my rookie center Shaq's dunk package and once when he dunked and it was a three point play, he went down on one knee and prayed. Really weird but cool.

Yeah, I also got that animation from Shaq. I should have taken a screenshot as he was kneeling right beside the Bulls mascot like he was being knighted or being introduced into the "family".

I also got that same LeBron animation with Josh Smith. I finally tied the score at the 4th with about 2 mins. left with a dunk from him after being down about 40 points. He dunked, also fished for a foul. As the players were lining up for the FT, Josh was walking towards the FT line while doing that animation and shouting at no one in particular (he was looking up the arena) as he was walking.

the gestures are associated with the dunk packages. I also saw KG shouting once (like he always does in real life) before taking a free throw. I had to replay that like five times cause it was so cool. Hehehe.
