NBA 2k9 freezes, PC version

Hello,

long time no see:)

I have a problem, which I have been trying to solve for the past two days. I just bought a GE Force 7600GT AGP card for my oldie, also, a 450W power supply, so that it would be a sure shot for this game. But THE GAME FREEZES. I start going over the sliders, or start a quick game, and after 2-10 minutes, everything freezes and the only way out is "RESET".

Every other program, game or whatever is working, EXCEPT, there's something wrong with my DirectSound, because there is no sound anywhere. I guess this is a different problem, because the crashings kept happening, even when the sound was still fine.

Please, someone, help me and save my last last nerve, because I am simply out of ideas.

PS. I tried updating the drivers, DirectX, NET. Framework, etc...

i have the same problem bro. everythng is workng except nba 2k9. it freezes after 4-5 min. all you have to do is to hit the reset button. did you already fix this one? those who know the solution .pls post it here.
