Is it possible to have FPS view camera patch?

I've been wondering, why all the basketball sims, or in fact sports sims don't have First-Person Shooter views. We play real-life basketball FPS view, not overhead or viewing from the crowd. It would make basketball sims more realistic I guess. 'Court vision' would really mean court vision; you'd have to predict where your man is running behind you and dish the ball to him on a fast break(you won't have a full court overhead view anymore).
I know there'd be limitations, such as number of keys on a controller, and there's only that much that a gamer can manipulate with his fingers all at once. E.g In first person shooters, the mouse is used to achieve the change of views (360 degrees).
Don't know if this is in the right section, but if possible, would someone consider making a FPS view Camera Patch?

we can't even edit the cameras we have now
FPS sports was attempted in NFL 2k5, caused a lot of people motion sickness but it was still a cool feature.
basically, this is nothing a community can patch it, 2k would have to do it

Thanks for the quick reply. I found this interesting article from Operation Sports on First-person views in Sports games. Turns out that Triple play 99 was the first to have it.

Would this Camera patching be possible in the Live series then, JaoSming? Given your extensive knowledge of the later Live games. Hehe. (Perhaps a Player-lock + Follow Cam?) Hmm.

yea I commented on that article on how it wouldnt work for the NBA series, and it's no longer there....
it isnt possible through the community, it does have to be thru EA/2k.
I doubt it would ever happen due to the inability to "see" well with the right analog stick
