How to create more than 64 players?

Hi NBA 2K9 fans,

I noticed that the CAP limit is around 64 . I read somewhere on the forum that Jaosming managed to push this limit back to more than 100. I would be very interested in knowing how to do that.

Could anyone help (Jaosming maybe )?

seriously, all i did was just continue going to create new players, I didnt do anything special


do you have the patch installed? because I dont know if that lifts the 64 player limit or not.

Yes, I have the patch installed and I remember reaching the limit before getting it. Maybe this limit has been addressed with the patch.

How many CAPs do you have right know ?

when I did the test to see if the limit was really 64 players I hit 104 with the ability to make more.

again, all i did was press create player, pressed start, yes to done editing, no to assign to team, then scrolled down and did it over and over and over and over again.

I have also tried it and was able to create more than 100++. included all the pngxxx.iff eda discovered and can still create. Just follow what Jao's instruction.

I noticed indeed using Hades Mini Editor that you have around 150 lines dedicated to created players. It seems that 150 other ones exist but are designed for players copied in created teams.

In order, to go even beyond this 150 player limit, I tried to modify a default player in a CAP one (using FlyingFinn and Hades editors) and what I get is a real CAP with the possibility of changing hair, eye color and stuff. Nevertheless, I was unable to modify the shape of the CAP's face (all the sliders are blocked) and the weird thing is you can change the name but if you change a name that is used for different players (i.e. Andre for Miller and Iggy), the name changes for all.

Does anyone have an idea on how to make a default player a real editable CAP ?
