I've known that how to changes the names in the Roster.

Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

I've known that how to changes the names in the Roster.

I've known that how to changes the players names (maybe also team name) in the Roster.
I can only replaced the letters now.

I've to translate the steps into English first.
I'll try my best to make more people understand my poor English.
So, give me some time...

You can change names in hex, but when you change that, it probably will be bug.

I see.

Do you know 2K9 Mini Editor by hades? That's a great tool. It can fix the this problem.
But you've follow the correct steps or the Editor would fail to open the roster.

Using UltraEdit, unfortunatelly I failed in replacing a short name with longer one and vice versa. As MeteoRzzy mentioned, in his tut with the dunkpackages, after you've saved your changed ROS in UltraEdit, you should open it in in NBA 2k editor by hades. But still, all credit etc goes to MeteoRzzy, if it wasn't his tutorial....so thanx, man.
Still waiting for your tutorial of replacing names.

Yeah I thought I knew how he was eluding to also. But even following his other tut. I can not get the files to load after being edited. even with hades editor Iv tried everything I know how. opening hades before editing and saving in UE vice versa Nothing works just corupts the file. I'll wait on the tut but i don't have my hopes up for being able to do it because either Im stupid or I am doing something wrong.

Actually there's no need of opening the Hades editor before UE. Simply open UE, change the name, save. Then open hades editor and save the roster, that's all.

yeah i tried that method also. But hades editor just freezes the crashes. I asume it has something to do with the way it saving it or something. I am running Vista 64 bit and UE 32 bit so maybe theres something there...
