Could someone help me out?

Tue Dec 30, 2008 11:02 am

This question probably has been asked 1000 times, but sorry, I'm a dumb ass when it comes to computers....now just lazy!....
I tried to install 2k9 on my PC, but in the end got the black screen, and looks like my video card is just trash!....
So, i still got my laptop....but i don't want to install again and be disseminated, so could anyone just say "yes or no" if the game would run on this piece of shit:

Windows XP, SP 3
AMD turion(tm) 64x2 mobile
Technology tl-50
1.61 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForse Go 7200

Tnx in advance!

it should probably work since the game only recommends a nvidia 6600gt card..

try to update your video card drivers

but 6600GT is better than a 7200

just because its a later generation doesnt mean its better, just like a 9400GT/9500GT isnt bettter than an 8800GTX

that said, im not sure if the Geforce 7200, being a dx9c card (required) would run it, but technically, it should meet the minimum required spec (tech wise which is being a dx9c card) although its slower than a 6600GT (how would the game know anyway? as long as the dx9c is met it should be ok right?)

i am going to buy a new desk PC only in the summer, there is no point for me to buy a new video card now, just because of the game, cuz the processor is old like 5 years, I just need a new processor for the next 5 years.....
and the specs I posted was my laptop, since NFS Pro Street was a slide show for me, I wasn't sure if this would ran also on it, but looks like I can give it a try!
