Players can't dunk

I've been having a problem where my players will hardly throw down a dunk all game. The only time when they will is on a fast break with absolutely nobody in front of them.
No players will go for the dunk in traffic. They'll always go for the weak layup when they should be dunking and it affects the outcome of my games (players get their layups wiped out when the dunk was easily there to be taken). The high-flyers won't even throw down on Steve Nash, they always go for the layup if even slightly contested.
Does anybody else have this problem? Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'd appreciate some kind of input any has to offer.
I'm using the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, so I've got both analog controllers on the gamepad.

Increase your "dunks in traffic"-slider.

if ur slider is default, i can't see any reason why u can't dunk,

You have to told turbo and press the shoot button. Players do not dunk without turbo.

I had this problem when I first started playing the game. I would get Chris Kaman open down near the basket, and he would put up these soft layups. He still does, but I have a few other players who will throw it down. Marcus Camby and Al Thornton throw it down regularly under the rim for me. I'm sure their standing dunk rating contributes to the outcome.

If you wait too long to perform a layup they end up looking like a regular shot because you are too close to the rim. Start your layups from the freethrow line and make sure the movement stick is pointed towards the basket and you are on the move.

That's not what I said. Make sure you are holding the movement key towards the basket and that your player is on the move while pressing the shoot button.

actually, what i noticed in this game was i havent seen a single follow-up dunk in this games.i have tried setting both dunk ability and dunks in traffic to 100, but none still. are there any follow up dunk animations in this game?

Yes, but they are pretty rare. I've seen 3, 1 worked, and two attempts didn't get the ball. I'm not sure how to trigger them other than holding the aggressive modifier, which can also trigger a tipin animation.

I was already using turbo to help try and dunk so that was all good. Increasing the 'dunks in traffic' slider is what has fixed it for me, so I recommend this to anyone else with the same problem I had
