Game not subbing properly

Postby Uncle Drew on Tue Dec 09, 2008 12:48 am

I"ve got my substitution patterns set correctly, however the cpu doesn't sub my 6th man until the 4th qtr. I was playing Miami and Beasley (6th man) didn't appear until the game was almost over. I've got fatique off and auto subs on rotation. What's the deal with this?? Is it the minutes that are allocated to certain players? I've played different teams, and the main bench players don't get burn until the 4th qtr. BTW, I'm playing the PC version set on Pro level, 10 min qtrs. The game plays great, it's just not subbing the right players.

Maybe the game is trying to tell you that Beasley should be starting?

Anyways, I try to allocate my minutes based on what players I want at that particular position. You've got 48 minutes for each position, so use some math. If you have the starter at 36, then the backup pg should have 12. After you do that for each main backup, you can fine tune the minutes by subtracting a few from other players and adding more for the players you want to play at multiple positions. It doesn't always end up perfect.

Make sure Beasley is one of the players on the "Bench" situational lineup. Put him in another couple of lineups to make sure that he gets subbed in.

Are you sure the sub is set to rotation. You can do it in menu but sometime in the actual game, it changes and you have to go to coach and set it again to rotation.
