NBA2k9 PC controls (w/ X360 Controller)- pls help!

Postby kiranb28 on Sun Nov 02, 2008 4:03 am

I've read through the "2k9 Moves List" thread stickied on top, but it's not much of help regarding this.

I'm using the "Wireless 360 controller for Windows" with the PC version of NBA 2k9. I've never played the XBOX 360 version, but can someone explain to me how these isomotion tricks are done? Is it the same key as "turbo"?

If my ball handler is standing in place and I press down the R trigger (turbo button), he starts doing a crossover.. but then what? Do I have to keep R pressed down and move the left-analog in different directions? It works at times - if I move the stick half-circle while holding down R, he does a spin-move but it's inconsistent. For ex: If I want to do a crossover followed by an immediate spin move, it might get cut in between since the TURBO button kicks in and he just starts running in one direction. Isn't there a dedicated button for Isomotion, or am I missing something here? Do I have to tap it? Or hold it down? What's the deal?

Any help would be appreciated - many thanks.

I read a tip that works pretty well, you should try it.

When you want to string moves together, you should release the turbo button after you completed the first move and press it again when you start the second move. Don't forget that some moves require the backdown button to be pressed at the same time as the turbo button. If that doesn't work for you, try turning down the quickness slider for user attributes. Some have said that it makes isomotion less sensitive.
