NBA 2k9 WILL be on PC

Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

Atleast i got an AMD athlon 64x2 dual core processor 5200+ and 4 gigs of ram. Fuck...i don't know about you guys but I got a knot in my stomach thinking about adding legends and graphics to this game. Thank god i kept my folders with hi-res pics of legends and current players I've collected over the years. Example you say?..how bout micheal jordan in hi-res...

Image

I plan on making the definitive jordan patch using that pic providing the game is moddable ofcourse. This is just a lo-res sample pic but was ripped-off years ago by someone to make an mj patch...but hey...anyone would be welcomed to try it on 360 port. I'm sure it will look...good.

I just decided to open up photoshop..haven't touched it in years..it feels weird. Let's all hope and pray that the modding capability is on par with nba live 03/04. Now i gotta think about spending money to upgrade my power supply in my pc..then the graphics card.

EA lost me as a permanent customer by releasing garbage for the past 2 years and canceling 09. Guaranteed, if they had taken over 2k successfully, they would've canceled the PC version of NBA 2k9.

Man, that week after the 21rst is going to be hectic with people trying to look at graphics etc. I feel like I felt when I first discovered live 2000 pc. Good time and this forum will explode since all the best patchers go here first.

Good to see you Yohance.

I have a tough time figuring out what a bunch of question marks mean, myself.

As for the filetypes, I remember looking at the files from a ps2 disc of nba2k and it basically had 2-3 1GB files and just a couple smaller files that were probably system files. I'm not sure what the folder structure would look like on the 360.

This's a false statement. On 2008-02-24, competitor Electronic Arts launched a hostile takeover bid for Take-Two Interactive, worth around US$2 billion. The bid was extended on 2008-05-15, but expired for good on June 16. With NBA 2K8 being the best game in the history of 2K8, says Evan Conrad.

And so much the better. No competition and no choice would have done gamers no favours.

Nice to see that 2k8 will be really going to the PC. Hope that it will be patchable and will be fun to play an association on the PC.

If i can run this game on low settings, i'll be a happy man. Though i get the feeling it won't.

Man, i'm excited about playing association mode on my cpu. Updated rosters etc, man it could be fucking SWEET.

I won't see the light of day ever again.

O yes. Sorry about that.

Like Nick said I also like this to be in minimun settings. I wonder if this will be a DVD release?

Take Two's marketing department, heh.

Well, it isn't any worse than EA advertising Own the Paint and Quick Strike ball handling in 08's PC version last year. They were only on the 360/ps3 versions.

I'm pretty sure the online features like 2k share and possibly 5-on-5 multiplayer won't be on the pc version. Ofcourse we don't really need 2kshare with the PC. I would expect the shot stick advanced to be in it, though.

I can't believe that 2k is releasing the Next Gen version for only $19.99! That's amazing. I'd happily have paid the standard $39.99. Not only are they outdoing EA on the Next Gen thing, they're charging HALF!

Thanks 2K!

I've never played any NBA 2K games, so I hope it won't just be eye candy, but will be pleasant to play as well. That isomotion thingy sounds like a lot of getting used to...
