Pre-renders. Even though that is obviously the case, it should still look better then 2k8.

Thanks for the link.

sorry dude but those are as real as this famous Live 08 screen

Still, I love "bullshot" images.

Edit: For some reason this made me think of the Shaq part of the 2k6 first trailer.

In case it wasn't mentioned in this thread before...those are pre-rendered images. :)

....expect those kinda graphics on xbox 720. Unfortunately..with console sports games...the graphics improvements are miniscule at best as long as it's on the same console as the previous year. You gotta watch those commercials with your bullshit goggles on.

I think those are pre-renders.

It'll be quite some time before we get detail like that on our consoles.

Definitely looking forward to this game. Thanks goodness Take-Two has evaded the grasp of EA, at least for the time being...

NBA 2K9 - "Saw (aka didn't touch controller) just a two-minute quarter, but it graphically looks even better, and they definitely are pushing the presentation a bit harder from what I can tell. The main focus with 2K9 is put you in the moment from start to finish essentially."

He probably talks about the magical backdoor passes by the CPU. At least that's what me bothered.
Anyway, I'd like to see the press conference too ..

I followed a live blog of somebody who was at the E3, and he said nothing special was shown in things of NBA 2k9. Just a demo of a 3 minute quarter, he said it looked a bit better graphically, but there were no new features presented, whatsoever.

Doesn't VC studios have their own event in some weeks? They probably show us something more about 2k9 then.

Buzzy,

If that is the case, then I'm a little disappointed. I'm sure 2K9 will be great, but you'd think that Take Two would have something up their sleeve to announce for 2K9. Oh well, time will tell.

THe passing in 2k is horrible. There's a lot of kick ball as well!!! 2k7 the passing was bad, you'd think they'd fix it for 2k8. . .they should atleast try to fixt it in 09.

Everyone who says 2k is PERFECT. Is hurting the chances of the game being fixed cause developers I GUESS, feel that gamers are happy with the game.

ThaLiveKing,

I agree with your assessment, for the most part. The last NBA 2K game I played was 2K7 and I found gameplay difficult (but that's probably 'cuz I'm not very good at NBA games).

I do hope that 2K9 delivers something that every NBA gamer will like.

IGN was disappointed with 2k's conference. THey said they didn't show much. . .which is pretty much what EA happened to do with NBA live 07 and 06.

ThaLiveKing,

Maybe 2K figures that what they have is enough to compete with what NBA Live '09 has this year, in terms of graphics, gameplay, and features?

I don't believe any company would settle for less.

I know Live has come up with crappy Live games in the past, but I trully believed they didn't know what they were doing with the engine. As you can see as time progressed, they finally came out with something worth being excited about. And a little fan input helped them a lot.
