Since i just got a old tech console but a great game in my hands, i am still learning on how to play the game so i have questions.
How can you do crossovers in 2k8? and as well as alley-ops?. I also have seen some videos of 2k8 in youtube and i see some players do some hand-signs (like vince carter) Do they also have that in the ps2?

To do crossovers, press R1 or the combination of L1 and R1 and move the right analog button.
Press L1 and circle to do alley-oop.
I think ps2 doesn't have those hand-signs because I've never seen one when I play.

How do you guys make those post-up fake moves ? I don't really know how to name it, 'cause I've only seen CPU to do that few times and made by myself accidentally once.
Well for instance, my player is doing a backdown move when he spins a bit to one side and makes a fake shot, defender jumps and then player spins to the other side and gets an easy lay-up.
It's just an easy post-up play, often seen in NBA games.
I hope, you got what i meant.
Thanks.

I mean Left analog stick.

Just play with the left analog stick and Hold R1 or with L1 and R1 at the same time and you'll do some crazy crossover and spin move.
And for the features, I think that Ps3/xbox360 has a lot of difference on ps2 but I'm not sure about that because I haven't tried the ps3/xbox360 version.

I posted it here since i dont want to create a new thread, since its the same game anyways.
Mind if someone help me with my association? I have been using New Orleans and what can i say? Its great playing with them. My only problem is the roster and team chemistry. My team chemistry is only staying between 44-45% any ways to improve it?. and someone give me any roster advice? Since my team is weak in rebouding and blocking(It so hard to block some shots and sometimes it called for a foul). Here is my roster
C Tyson Chandler
PF David West (i put him in the trading block)
SF Peja Stojakovic
SG Morris Peterson
PG Chris Paul
Bench
Sam Cassel (got him by trading him by Bobby Jackson)
PJ Brown (Free agent signing)
Devin Brown
Julian Wright
Hilton Armstong
Rasual Butler
Janner Pargo
Hope to have some comments

First of all, nice job learning to spell (for the most part), and use punctuation. 850th post's a charm.
Your team chemistry is low because you made a trade and signed a free agent. By winning, and not making any more moves, chemistry will improve. Your team shouldn't be bad in rebounding and blocking. You have one of the best rebounding Centers in Tyson Chandler, and I think he is in the top 5 in blocking also. Meanwhile, David West is a near 20-10 guy and an all-star (why would you put your second best player on the trade block?) so your front court is fine. If you still have problems with blocking and rebounds, either change your sliders or accept you aren't very good at it.

Heh, I personally set my sliders to make blocking harder than default so I don't swat at everything, and instead time for the rebound. Don't play like Live, stay home with big men and look for rebounds, challenge anyone who gets past his man and drives with Chandler, otherwise keep West and the rest grounded to get rebounds. Try to push off rebounds, especially with MoPete and Pedja able to shoot threes. Otherwise settle in to work the obvious pick n' rolls, or post ups with West looking to pass out on a double to the wing.

Lamrock, i put West to the trading block because he is not doing good for me he likes getting only 9.0 PPG
Thanks for the suggestions guys since i am really having a hard time getting a single defensive rebound and it piss me off that the opponent always get a offensive rebound but still cannot get the ball to the hoop.
Now i have a question regarding the create-a-team feature. Will you able to play your created team to the Association?.
