just went and the guy first said it's not released then said it is released but they didn't get shipments...it will be 1 or 2 days for it to arrive...

i guess 2k issued something for everywhere to hold on selling it until its fixed...

What? 2K didn't tell Best Buy to hold them back because they "weren't updated enough."

The guy told you exactly...they didn't get a shipment.

I had already installed with the key they had given on the phone, but Christian sent an email about the fix.

It was a big mistake, but they responded quickly.

how long will the steam update could take me and authenticate the gam? I only have 56k dial up connection.

I think the validation was quick, and since the game installs from the DVD there shouldn't be a delay with a 56K. Of course, I could be wrong.

There's a video with everything on max. The video was very large and high quality, but when it uploaded it was very poor quality. Not sure how to upload to Youtube to retain quality.

youtube always decompresses the shit out of originally good quality.

Does Steam check every time you start the game to see if it's a valid install? So you need an online connection to play every time?

This DRM stuff really sucks. I hate all these embedded protection files on my computer.

No, it only does it the first time, you should be able to launch steam offline and play the game anytime after that.

Hey guys, sorry to bother you but i REALLY need your help.

i bought nba 2k9 in the us two days ago and encountered the annoying no activation number.

i read here in the forum the steps i have to take and i did them and still: this activation pop up jumps at my face.

can someone please tell me what are the steps i need to do again (installation for dummies...).

could this be connected to the fact that i'm trying to install the game outside the US? and if so do you know what should i do?

i know i asked a lot of questions but i'm really desperate for your help.
