Will NBA 2K9 be on PC ?

Great news. Let's hope that NBA 2k will be mod-friendly. That's a big selling point for any PC game imo.

I'll definitely buy both the PC versions and the XBOX one. Hopefully the PC version is a next-gen port.


And a question for Andrew and the mod-team.

Would 2k9 get it's own sub-site or just merged in along with the NBA Live forums itself? I'm guessing at the very least it'll get an expanded forum.

I have no immediate plans in that regard, this is still the NBA Live Series Center after all.

again (if) the game will be on PC it will most likely be supported by some members of this community and I dont see any reason why we wouldn't support additional members. However, due to new file types and most likely unmoddable files at first there is no need to create new sections and such. Patches would go in this forum and 2k dynasty stories can go in the other video games story section.

It could possibly be next-gen......I have Top Spin 2 and that was a next gen port

but like andrew said, if there was a perfect time to release a PC version of an nba 2k installment, this year's the perfect time considering that EA wont be releasing for the PC for 09. win some EA faithfuls over to 2k.

My friend NJNETSFANFORLIFE, heard KG talk on the radio about the release party that has taken place on the 25th (today) And SPECIFICALLY addressed that NBA 2K9 WILL COME OUT FOR PLAYSTATION 2 & 3, Xbox 360, and PC Version.

Enough said, I pre-ordered it on gamestop, can't wait for it

The only buzz kill it would be is that it's ganna be OLD Gen (which i have no problem with I just want gameplay)

BUT if you guys look on http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.jsp (Search NBA 2K9) look at the PC version as it is listed with the 360 & PS3 Versions, but the PS2 is in a separate category. So it might be Next Gen considering that it is $20 previous Next Gen games like Spiderman 3 and even TOP SPIN 2 (next gen made by 2k) were also $20.

BOTTOM LINE : BUY THIS GAME (Do not "download" it, cuz we want to prove to 2K that we respect their work and what they do)

This is like a dream came true, I've been hoping desperately that 2k9 would be on PC since EA announced that Live 09 will not. 2k9 will be a perfect substitute for Live 09 in 2009 for me. Looks like I finally dont have to be stuck with Live 08 for another year. I dont care what gen it's in as long as I dont have to be stuck with Live 08 for another year. All I want is a little change so that I'm not bored shut. I still prefer Live series over 2k though, but variety would be good since I've never play a 2k series before in my life since I dont have a console. I'll switch back to Live again towards the end of 2009 when EA release Live 10 though.

If you go to http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.jsp and search for ''NBA 2K9" then it comes up with it for Windows PC. And as you can see from my screen shot, its in the same platforms as the Xbox 360 and PS3, while the PS2 is separate, meaning if they are right, the PC version would be a current gen port (same as 360/ps3)

I don't know about anybody else, but i hope it's NOT a 360/ps3 port. I want it to be a ps2 port, so my computer can actually RUN the freakin' game.

I would defiantly want a 360 port. I have a 360, but if it was patchable for the PC, I would buy that instead. Although, because the price is listed at $20, im still a bit skeptical.
