Official NBA 2K8 Thread

Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

Yeah the game is really good although i reckon 2k9 should be a much more improved version now that the basis of the game is pretty much established its easy to add stuff and upgrade things rather than rebuilding everything so i should hope 2k9 will be much improved.

Yes, this game is amazing.

I'm having fun online and in friendly games.. now it's time to start an association, perhaps with Warriors or Atlanta..

A very good thing of this game is that the players shot as they usually do in the real life..

Garnett with his slow charging jump-shot, Marion with his fuckin' shot , T-Mac with his crazy fade-away..

I love 2k8. :P

2k8 is so close to perfect, I think by 2k10 (I think they'll have to come up with a new way to say the year) this game will mirror an NBA game pretty much completely.

By 2010, NBA Live will also be decent, and then suck again when it releases Live 2011.

In case some of you haven't noticed, the decent versions of Live come in factors of 5 in the titles.

Live 95, Live 2000, and Live 2005.

That's a good point, and I remember having fun with the games before the best ones came out.

Had a blast with '99 and 04.

:chug: Here's to a good 09, and a great 2010.

Almost lost a game to the Knicks because the refs on my game do not call intentional fouls anymore, I dont know what I have changed though ...

Its just like when a intentional foul happens, the game goes on and it often results in a turnover ..

2 quick questions that I would appreciate an answer to....

1) For PAL region users, do you have option of importing draft classes from College Hoops 2k8? I know NTSC region users do, I'm just wondering if the game prompts you to once you finish first season/enter off-season/start new season.

2) This is open to all regions, can you import College Hoops 2k7 rosters into NBA 2k8? I would imagine you wouldn't be able to, but I'm just checking anyways.

Reason why I ask these questions is now with the cancellation of the College Hoops 2k series, I figure I may as well run legacies in College Hoops 2k8 for years, but I'd like to follow player's pathway through the NBA, hence I'm thinking of getting NBA 2k8....if I can use PAL region version, then I'll just wait until on special & get it....otherwise I'll have to import it....

thanks in advance (Y)

What is up with practise?

I go to do it, select two teams and my team lines up on the opposite side of the court and all you do is run around with an individual player?

Am I missing something?

I think that's the 2K version of practice. At least it was on current-gen, probably applies on next-gen as well.

I'm locking this since we have a 2K forum and moving it there would be a bit pointless. Feel free to make as many threads as you want.
