And it really hurts me to say that and ive been playing nba live since 95 on nintendo.

EA has really let nba live slip since 04 imo and 2k has picked up the slack, the gameplay will get some getting used to but its worth it.

Bought mine today (PS3 and 2k8), but Ima have to w8 til xmas and then start playing

Im really excited (may sound like a freak, but I have NEVER played 2k8, have been a live player since 97 ... so this will be a huge change)

I am in the same boat. Only I am getting my PS3 this week but wont be able to play 2K8 til x-mas when I open it. The only Live I have not played on one system or another is 02,04 and 08.

I have played a little bit of 2K3 on my friends GC a few years ago. That is when the 2K is better than live stuff started happening. Anyways it should quite a change for me also.

Anyone know where I can download 2K8 case covers?

Anyone know, in Association mode, (not in-game) how to turn off Automatic Time-outs?

Pretty sure its somewhere in the coaching settings....or maybe the gameplay settings just browse each one in the options but its either one of these.

It also might be in one of the in-game coaching menu's that you can bring up with the d-pad.

Press the left directional button and it should be the first option (coach mode).

I've got my Ps3 three days ago and I'm gonna buy 2k8 today.

I won't play it until christmas day.. I'm really excited cause I've never played 2k series, just Nba Live from 05 to 07..

I'll play it on a new 24'' monitor LCD for PC with Hdmi connection.. can't wait the real next-generation!

But I did not get a message about a patch when I went online ... how can I dl the patch ?

And does anybody know how to do a putback dunk ... I tipped it in once, but it wasnt a jam.

I created 80 odd players for the pal version which i could email you if you want.

First you would need a blu-ray disc writer for your PC then just hope the PS3 can read the new disc you burned.

I am currently trying to find a more updated roster. The official one is almost 2 months old. A couple errors I found were.

CJ Miles needs to be signed to the jazz.
Beno Udrih needs to be signed to the kings.

operationsports.com has some more upto date roster with loads of created players.

The 2k roster updates where pretty poor in what they missed out but still at least they have brought out a couple of updates such as the patch, something i cant see ea doing anytime soon for ps3/360 users.

Anyone got some slider tips on getting the cpu to run it's plays quicker? I want to play 8 minute quarters because anything more then 10 and the game seems to drag on. I turned the game speed and the player speed up and it helps, but the cpu still waste's alot of clock.

Also, does anyone have tips on blocking shots? I seem to only get blocks when the cpu contests the shot for me.

How do I load the rosters though?

dload a roster.

Unzip it and place it into a new folder called "PS3" then inside that folder make a new folder called "SAVEDATA" then place the b07.. whatever it is folder in there.

Then place that on a usb device of some sort and then plug that into your ps3 and load the roster .

If your using an xbox 360 then iam not sure but there are rosters oon OS for the 360.

Pdub, again operationsports.com is the best place for sliders.

Have you dloaded the patch yet? ive been told that improves blocking alittle bit other than that its just timeing it right.

There are also loads of helpfull vids on youtube , think a guy called zinmaster have some good ones.

When you sign up then you get full access to the website.

I think the pal 360 patch is out but sadly not the ps3 which iam also waiting for.
