but

* Does not support any online functionality, including but not limited to online games, 2K Share, ReelMaker or Living Rosters

Fri Oct 03, 2008 4:28 pm

Still confused :?

Is there reelmaker or not :?:

In my opinion this basically means that on line 5on5 will not be supported>> "BUT NOT LIMITED"-------- to online games, 2kshare real maker or living roster

** Internet access required to install and authenticate the game.

if anyone of u guys had played a GENUINE BIOSHOCK game, its pretty much tha same.

Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:20 pm

So basically they check the game from the internet to install :?:

Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:44 pm

They did originally, you could only install it three times.

Everyone complained and now it is gone. See: Spore, most non-Steam games.

oooo that thing where you are limited to install a certain amount of times

What happens if you install and all 3 installions have been used :?:

Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:53 pm

You have to uninstall one of them, and it unlocks the license for one more install.

Microsoft Office has done this for a long time.

There are two ways that I've read that statement. that I know of. Ad I hoep it's the latter.
1) The statement "Does not suport any online functionality" is not limited to the other features. Meaning the Online games, 2K share, Reelmarjer or living rosters are included in that statement and there are other features as well.

2) The online functionwill not be limited in those aforementioned features. Which actualy makes more sense.

Fri Oct 03, 2008 8:39 pm

god damn, i can't understand a thing any more!

They say that it does NOT support ANY online functionalyties
and they say that this does not limit the 3 online functions they have?!?!

what does it mean again? is there any other online function that is not mentioned with does 3?
so can we play 5v5 online with pc or not? (doesn't limite online games, they say)?!?!

confused, please help :?

Sat Oct 04, 2008 12:06 am

that statement means there will be no online action, at all

Yeah exactly, That is a bummer I expected to play against more mature people online, this is not a good move by 2k as it make the torrent drm free version more attractive to the pc users. I'm still buyign it but it doesn't make sense.

Sat Oct 04, 2008 2:23 am

what does it mean.. torrent drm free version? piracy?
an illegal copy will have online features? i doubt...

Sat Oct 04, 2008 2:32 am

Well it is only 20 bucks so I kind of figured that online would be not there or at least limited. I'm just glad that they threw us a bone and ported it. Maybe they were gong to have online, but it wasn't up to snuff and decided to scrap it. Better to have none at all than a flawed or broken system. If they continue with the pc version next year I guarantee there will be online play.
