Yep 2k8 is the shit. Too bad I can't get through a whole game anymore without dirty disc errors. Now I am going nuts waiting for my replacement disc.

bah, so i was expecting to get my hands on it today. Unfortunetly enough the folks in the few EB's around today are saying November 1st.

A few things, can someone list a few of the missing players? Please tell me Hassan Adams made it this year? Check the cavs or the f/a please...

i tried playing this game yesterday. i went online 3 times and the game froze each time 10 secs into the game.

Hopefully picking it up tomorrow. Not sure if i want to trade 2K7 in for $50 or however much they give me. Like, i happily would of before, but a few dodgy reviews have scared me a little. 2K7 was the best fun i've had with a ball game since Kobe's courtside and maybe Jam 99. Even though 2K8 will most likely be an expanded version basically, i think i will keep a hold of 2k7 for good measure.

I read on the internet and all the EB Games Australia sites, that it's been delayed till the 23rd of November, Im gonna ring em up right now!

EDIT: Nope, they said it's delayed... :cry:

Playing the computer is fun in 2k. . .when you play against someone else. . .the game gets serious. Real competitive game!!! I hope EA can make a game like this

I think Xbox Live silver is free, so you can use the marketplace to download demos and updates. Live gold allows you to play against other people.

Yesterday i checked the EBGames AU site and it showed 2K7's release sate at 1/11/07

.
Tomorrow im gonna go and ask if they have it....if they don't and they say its releasing on the 23rd I might have to get Live cause I've been waiting for 3 months.

That's probably true. You looked at the release date for 2k7, and it told you 1/11/07.

Why not look at the release date for 2k8?

Why would they not have 2k7....? It came out a year ago. (I assume that wasn't a typo as you gave a date in the past in addition to talking about 2k7.)

Afew people at the 2k forums have said that they have the pal version.

Played half a game against the Nuggets yesterday, most annoying game ever. Iverson scored 20 points by doing the same thing every time. Got the ball right near the basket, either by a backdoor cut, or driving by my guy, or just walking slowly toward the basket and then somehow receiving an amazing pass. Then after getting the ball right under the basket, with Mutumbo, Howard and Nelson all around him, he pump fakes afew times before getting fouled and alot of time getting a 3 point play.

I've started to notice that one of the main reasons the offensive AI is so good is because theres no repercussions for making a risky pass. Yet somehow I still get around the right amount of steals/ game. It's ridiculous how the ball goes right by 4 of my guys to get to the guy under the basket. It's incredibly frustrating when you play good D for 20 second, and then with 4 seconds on the shot clock Marcus Camby (really any player) just walks fairly casually to the basket and an amazing pass is made to him and he just lays it in.

and then its also frustrating to noe be able to make the easy ones because they get tipped so eaily, and even easier on cheap teams like SA, Detroit, Chicago & Houston

Yeah, and each team seems to play that same way. Whoever is the ballhandler is just waiting for that backdoor cutter, and they make an incredible pass like 75% of the time.

Picked my copy up for the 360. Was expecting Thursday Nov 1 but they called up a few days earlier. I'm still not sure what to think, the gameplay is a little different from last seasons game. Will give it time, still gotta learn the new isomotion well.
