Well I can't play Live 08 due to PC PROBLEMS, but you don't wanna let the people down who were anticipating on the MOD. :?

I think after 2k9 comes out you guys should have a poll if people still want the 09 MOD :D

AGAIN THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION

It's really amazing to hear that it will be on PC. Now I hope it will work on my computer too, but I seriously doubt it. I can try it on lap-top, though.

I think there is no problem there since i know some people will step up and take over on the mod and besides if 2k9 will really come out on pc there will be only less gamers that will play the mod..thats why i made a decision to maybe stop making the mod if 2k9 really comes out

If all of this news are true then i think there is no need for us to make NBALIVE 2009 for pc mod..

If it turns out to be nextgen, some people won't be able to run it on their computers and will still want an 09 mod for Live.

I have good news for some people. According to a mod over at the 2K Sports Forums, it is likely to be a 360 port.

Wow, I had never browsed thru this section so this is very unexpected for me. I was resigned to wait til next year for Live on PC, but this is really good news if it turns out to be true.

This would definitely be a nice surprise [That's a bit of an understatement.], but at this time I'm still highly skeptical.

Yea it's 70% likely it'll be the 360 version, but don't get your hopes up you need a very good PC to play it on. :)

Im sure after it's released it'll be on srtest.com and people can see if they can play. Make sure your PC can already play some recent next gen games on PC. Considering it's a NBA Game you wouldn't need a VERY EXPENSIVE PC for a slow paced game. :P

I'm pretty sure PC requirements won't be a problem for me, it should look much better than the 360 version, I just wanna make sure whether or not it's 100% official...

Damn. Great, i mean, GREAT news. I hope it's a PS2 port. I know, I'm being selfish, but my ATI Radeon 128MB won't be enough even for a Medium/Low.

I really hope its not a 360 port... If it is, I think I’ll just have to wait for the Live 09 Mod...

Well... some games site say oct 20 and that does make sense as all the rumors point to a later release for the PC (if there is one). Even gamestop has it for pre-order at $19.99 and shipping 10/20. If it does come out I hope it's not the PS2 version. That would be worthless why not just get Live 08 on PC. If so I will just get it on PS3.

Well, in my opinion, on last gen consoles, the difference between Live and 2K is much more stark. At least the current gen Live has some redeeming qualities, I can't say that for last gen.

I'd definitely prefer a 360 port. It's not like that will be available only to the elites if scaling is done properly. All those people who can't have "lightning" in Live will probably be unable to play it. But integrated graphics and cards that don't support DX8 (7?) fully should be probably illegal anyway.

Yes. (I personally do not have a 360/PS3 but I know people who do, they think EA is the only company who makes sports games, and I also download demos on their systems to their interest. If I need to establish my "cred" on this. I haven't spent a year playing any of the games though, just a couple hours. I also haven't played Live 09 so I'm giving it benefit of the doubt.)

I'm not saying they're good or better than the 2K series, but I think they're trying a lot harder than they did after Live 2005 on last gen. Footplanting and DNA are good pursuits, etc.

It's like this: On current gen, I respect what they're trying and the game is playable. (Now.) Last gen, it's completely broken and a piece of trash.

Well, my card is good enough for PES 2009, which is the only video game I occasionally play. So it's not worth spending 150 bucks on a video card for one game.

We've been the NBA Live Series Center for a long time, we ain't changing our name because of 1 game possibly coming to the PC.

There is another site though that took that course (in a good way) nbalive.org => nbavg.org
Opinions are my own.
