What sound cards work with this game?

Cause it sure isn't the Audigy 2 Value card. I've had nothing but blue screens whenever I try to play a game. Menu screens don't crash, but in game does. I've yet to make it out of the first period once.

Using the Windows Debugging Tool shows that the file causing all the blue screens in this game is called hap17v2k.sys. A file that is part of my sound card drivers.

I used the default drivers, still crashed. I updated to the most up to date non-beta drivers from Creative. Still crashed. I updated to the most up to date beta drivers. Still crashed.

If I get a new sound card, I want to make sure it will work. What do you all use?

Okkkkk.....

Anyway, what sound cards WORK with this game? I've been telling Creative about my problems with their card and drivers and their only response was download the latest drivers (which if they had actually read my post, they would have seen I had said I was using them in the first sentence).

Creative customer support is looking worse and worse. Any sound alternatives?

TNT This is not a glitch. There are only some dribble sounds on very few spots on the court. Test it in practive mode. About 85% you won´t hear anything. There are only some spots 45 degrees away from the hoop I think.

This is not a glitch yes, this is a major bummer, they call it bball sim then no dribbling sound and shoe squeaks available (consider on any nba game how easy to hear)but crowd noises like maniacs.. when dropped crowd sound no sound fx at all :x
Other in game sounds awful too,you have to listen annoying in game music :( Overall sound and commentary worst than live 08,need more than patch sucks(N)

I have a SB Audigy 2 card also. It gave me the BSD and was always re-booting my computer. So, I went to run, then typed in Dxdiag, then go to sound at the top, then go to hardware acceleration, move pointer to the second mark from the left. My problems were solved, game runs great. Hope this helps.

You did a good job, Pistol. I have SB Audigy 4 and identical problems like yours. It works for me to, your solution. (Y)
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not one bit simpler.
