Holy sh....................... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what, I just won my first game! LOL I still cannot believe it. What did I do? I am drunk after having many beers...I won but why? I tried to concentrate on both ends of the floor and did not try to force iso moves or highlight passes. I just passed, called a pick, shot...and used basic stuff. And I also adjusted my strategy during timeouts.

I played with the Magic against the Nets. Maybe the Nets are not as aggressive as the Thunder LOL and the Magic are better than the Knicks but anyway...I won 103-92 with 12-minute-quarters. I shot 48% from the field while the Nets made 43% of their shots. Devin Harris scored 35 points.

Turkoglu had 26 points and 9 rebounds, Lewis finished with 23 points, Dwight Howard had 17 points and 15 rebounds, Nelson 15 points and 7 assists.

I had some dunks and nice passes, too. I know that a win on Rookie does not mean anything but it is a real success to me after sucking and losing and being totally inable to play the game.

Thanks, PDub, for all your help. I will drink another beer and lose I am sure but it does not matter. I have finally found a way to play this game and have fun.

Hey,Pdub,I have a couple problems with the game,so I if you are willing to try and help me,I would be gratefull:)

First,I'm playing on all star,with playmakers sliders.

So,the thing that I don't like is that computer players dunk too easily.They dunk and dunk and dunk...and sometimes when I turn on a replay,I see that they actually made a good play,so the player that was guarding cpu player that dunked,god bloked by some other cpu player.But sometime I don't see ANY particular reason why their player god the ball under a basket and dunked.Luis Scola just stand as the player behind him gts the ball and dunks,and Scola is too late for block,affcourse.One time Artest was chasing his player,and around the free throw line,he stoped and cpu player continued to run,got under the basket,got the ball and dunked!Is it a bug,or should I adjust the sliders?Its just stupid how they can score when ever they want without any particular play...

second,behaviour of my teammates when executing plays.Sometimes the most important player of the play just stands,doesn't want to go where he should go.For example,I'm holding the ball with Alston.I give the ball to Ming,who is a couple of steps away from the basket.And my SF,for example Artest is standing in the right corner.Now,while I'm guarding the ball with Ming,Artest should start running by the baseline,and in one moment he should be unde the basket.I use direct passing to get the ball to Artest when he is under the basket,and its easy 2 points.But sometimes,I get the ball to ming,and Artest just stands in the corner!And I'm waithing for him,and when I realise he isn't going to move,I only have a couple of seconds to score,and I allways miss,affcourse...And,the play was still runing because the blue circles was still apinted under Mings feet but artest just stands.Sometimes it works fine,but sometinmes not,and that means waisted posetion because I don't have enough time for anything else:(...again,is it a bug,or is that normal?

And,do you use the clutch factor?Do you think that using it makes the game more real,or not?

I'm very sory about my english,hope you could understand me...

Lower Dunks in traffic slider and there will be less dunks. If they are making alot of alleyoops, increase play passing lanes slider. I stopped all the crazy backdoor passes by changing the difficulty to pro.

About the play, maybe there is something you need to do with Ming to trigger Artest's basline cut. I don't know.

So,on all star or higher the game is simply un realisticly hard?well,I was reallly affraid of that.I don' know,I found pro to be a bit too easy,but what really want is realistic basketball so maybe I will give it a try!

So,is the game easy or not?Are the win loss numbers realistic when you play association?

Can you please upload your sliders so I can give it a try?So far the game is really drivimg me crazy,so mabe on pro with nice sliders I can get a bit better experiance...

Switched to Pro difficulty and do not play that bad any longer. I still lost 94-105 but my game is much better now. The team stats are really nice with both teams shooting 43% from the field. It seems that you cannot just play but have to adjust your strategy very often...change the tempo, lower or raise the sliders for defence, fastbreaks etc. Sometimes my players get a real boost and become hot within seconds.

You can focus on shot selection, rebounds, defense or ball control. It says "2 remaining". I select e.g. shot selection, leaving the info indicating "1 remaining". I cannot use it though. Can´t I use two strategies at once because it says that there are two remaining? Or can I only e.g. use two per half and only one at one time?

What I still dislike is my low number of steals. I cannot get any, only rarely or when my cpu players get one. Just following the other player with lock defense does not get me the ball but the steal button results in a foul 90% of the time.

Only two strategies per quarter can be used, one at a time.

Reach in steals are rare. I get most steals from pass deflections or interceptions, and sometimes stripping a player going for a layup or a post player backing down. If you want to compensate until you get better, just increase your steal success slider, and lower reach in fouls.

Wow, the Hornets are just too good. I played one half with 12 minutes per quarter and was down by 40. 30-70.
Their offense is really fast and Peja is unstoppable. Gotta switch back to Rookie I think. LOL
