Shot tendency not working?

Tue Dec 02, 2008 5:13 am

I find that the shot tendencies are not very effective in 2k9. For example I have Paul Pierce's shot tendencies higher than Ray Allen's and KG but whenever I play the Celtics, Paul Pierce seems to have the lowest FGA out of the three and is less involved in the offence. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've read that the tendencies are more for simulated games. Simulate a couple games and see if Pierce is taking more fg's.

I don't know. Isn't there a shot tendency, along with short range, medium range, and long range tendencies? Maybe the overall shot tendency is the one used during the game. Maybe it's just a combination of player ratings, tendency sliders and coach profile settings.

Ya, my Paul Pierce's shot tendencies are all higher than Ray Allen's but still Ray gets the most touches on offense out of everyone. I think it's because of the team's playbook, the cpu tends to run more plays using Allen compared to Pierce. Have you noticed this too when you are playing against the Celtics?
