Hello again, Today I have creation guides for Royal Ivey and Donta Smith (in which Donta was popular in international leagues but also spent 2 seasons in the NBA on the Atlanta Hawks, specifically 2004-05 and 2005-06) since these 2 are not in ESPN NBA 2K5, even in the official DLC roster updates for the original XBOX version, which is strange, but anyways here are the guides! Included actual pictures of the 2 in their previews as I figured that would be a good idea!

Many thanks for sharing! As I said in the other topic, I'm glad to see more retro gaming resources coming together for old favourites.

You're welcome! It's a shame that Southeastern Illinois College is not in the game so I had to use Southern Illinois for Donta Smith, I wonder what their exact 2004-05 attributes are for 2K5's attributes system as it's different than NBA Live 2005

That's always a bit annoying, when the school is missing because it isn't shared by anyone already in the roster. Older NBA Live games have had "None", "N/A", and "Unknown" as selectable placeholders, and I think a couple of NBA 2K games might have had similar options as well, but it's an idea that was dropped unfortunately.

But hey! At least I have them both in 2K5 now! These creations are great for the official DLC roster updates, in which they also never updated the player's ratings on the DLC rosters but thankfully there's a ratings update guide on GameFAQS

I also found it weird how Royal Ivey and Donta Smith were not included in the official DLC roster updates SEGA provided for the Xbox version back then, you can still get them though today in a certain circumstance, that's how I got the DLC on my original Xbox.

Them being excluded in the DLC roster updates is the reason I made these formulas but they work on PS2 as well as the create a player mode is the same on both.

Absolutely, it shouldn't have been an issue adding them to those official rosters.

Last night, when I was browsing through Rashidi's Player Rating FAQ on GameFAQS, I found 2004-05 Royal Ivey attributes on there though the dunking attributes had a typo, that is: he meant to type in 50 for the dunking attributes as Royal Ivey could never dunk but once I applied them with the dunking attribute set to 50, it now plays like how Royal Ivey did during the 2004-05 season, it also had attributes for other 2004-05 rookies too, including Carlos Delfino, which I made last night with the attributes for him on there.

I realized that if you set the build to Thick on Royal Ivey, it makes him his exact weight in real life (200 lbs) so I updated my formula for him above.

Good looking out! That was one of my least favourite aspects of whipping up my 2005 roster for NBA 2K6, not having a customisable weight value. Thankfully they moved away from that approach, but some combinations do work out perfectly.
