CD-R King isn't cheap bargain prices anymore. It's already selling expensive shite. It still continues with its marketing ploy of confusing consumers that it sells inexpensive items.

I just recently purchased a OEM(Official) Microsoft corded 360 controller at my local Frys for the extremely low price of $20 and I have it say that it's the most efficient, reliable, quality controller you can get your hands on for your PC. Just get one, you can thank me later.

i own the 360 version, but i couldn't imagine myself playing with a keyboard - and yes i'm a pc gamer too, but this kind of game calls for a controller. it feels right. go for it brotha.

I have always used keyboard and that is probably exactly why I still do, can't get used to controllers (I did try, with other games). Maybe it's because I'm used to executing all the moves with my left hand and only using my right hand for the cursor/direction of dribbling and so on, which is the other way around with controllers. Also I prefer to use my fingers instead of my thumbs.
I understand that some people frown upon it and think that you can't get everything out of the game when not using a controller but I think that's a bit ignorant really, it's just a matter of skill just like with a controller in my opinion. I agree that the game wasn't designed for keyboard play but it's definitely still worth playing. The only real problem I have so far is figuring out how to call plays (which you're supposed to do with the Action button, haven't figured that out yet), not how to make them.
