help me with the alley opp plz

plz help me,i know that the alley opp is performed by hloding L2 and pressing the PAS BUTTON,but my players never are in a proper position for a opp,my only hope is off the pick n roll,and this sometimes,plz help,give me a tip on how to make oops for alleys!!!!
