need help

when I want to throw an alley oop, how exactly does it work, do i hold both buttons pressed (backdown+pass) or do i hold just backdown and tap the pass button...

Seriously guys no one? I'm desperate. Whenever my player throws the the ball for the alley oop the other one ends up holding nothing but air and bam! turnover
It's really annoying , if someone knows how the buttons should be triggered (on a keyboard) please reply back
