How can I remove player for the free agent?

I mean if I have 12 players in the team how can I remove the player for the free agent?
NY Knicks have 12 players and now marbury was waived so how Do I do this? any editor something?

Go into "manage roster" click on him then "release to free agency". Something along those lines anyway...

but if I have less than 12 players I cant remove

You can't have under 12 players during the season, sign some bum for the league minimum then you can release Marbury.

Why do they make it 12 players I thought it was 8?

This topic caught my eye since Stephon Marbury just had his Celtics debut as #8, while Mikki Moore as #7I thought he replaced Rondo 
but was rather replacing Eddie House's position to back up Rondo...still Eddie is still in the HOUSE>>>more details here
