Is there a good Patching Tutorial anywhere?

I just bought a laptop just so that I could finally experience patching on NBA 2K9. I've seen some of the stuff that you guys have done and it's just amazing (i.e. ALL of BBmylove's stuff and whoever is doing the 96 Bulls team). I was wondering if someone would be nice enough throw together a little tutorial for people who are completely new to patching. I am particularly interested in installing cyberfaces, and altering the colors off the accessories that a team wears during home and away games. If one already exists, please just post a link.
