UPdating PC version of 2k9 do I now need too...

I had lots of new .iffs put in before I manually updated 2k9 to the latest PC version, the one you can get from steam and it had a ton of files to overwrite, does this mean all those custom IFF files I put in, for players shoes and arenas, do I need to put all those custom files back in now?
