Is the NBA 2K9 patch worth getting?

I bought the game, but i use a "different exe" because I want to use the 360 controller buttons.

Is the patch worth obtaining? and why?

The 3 things that make me not want to get the patch are:

1) Can't backdown (well it's rare if you do)
2) Superstars don't take over on the opponent's side
3) NO 360 CONTROLLER BUTTONS GUIDE!!!!

what? idk I'm downloading via steam right now, if i hate it i'll reinstall the game and go back to my 360 buttons ways

You probably don't need to reinstall your game. Just replace the .exe.

I think JaoSming said he used just renamed one of the exes and could use them both. He will correct me, or never ever check this thread. Stay tuned!

8LAL24 I also own a 360 controller and use a custom driver. XBCD. You can adjust everything, buttons, triggers, axes, sensitivity of the sticks.

I check everything, just rarely care

You can replace the patched legit exe with the old special exe and use your texmod stuff without issue IIRC. the game will be unpatched though if you do that.


however, iffset can handle the iff that controls the button layouts, I dont understand why you need to use texmod for that..

I installed and Jao , but i can't get the orange cursor to turn off in replay mode. I press zoom in and out at the same time as you stated.

What i found out is that i can play on everything high even the crowd now after the patch when 19-25fps b4 the patch i could only play with medium crowd and everything else high/ultrahigh lagless.
