Public Service Annoucement

To all NLSCerss my fam fam and to everyone else who really doesnt matter:

NBA 2k9 is the best simulation of Basket ball Ever. Live is the equilivant of Boo Boo! The NBA Live Series has suffered a seizure, a stroke, a brain tumor and The series had died in a Ice fishing accident. I think that dumb AY S S Republic can dude shot NBA Live in a hunting accident.

Enough with the dead! Lets talk about the living. Stop petting dead beast, stop adoring something that has no life. All you talented Patchmakers, roster makers and modder dudes use your talents on NBA 2k9. You know the box thas KG's face on it. If you havent played this game on the PC, before you die or whatever do it. Just do it. Cause if it's in the Game it's in the Game.

Some of our best Patch makers, roster makers, and modder dudes have already stopped petting that dead NBA LIve dead series. Let that S H eye Tee die. Say farewell can come home.

As always NLSC thanks for allowing me to share my opinion. as you recognize that everything that comes out of my mouth is the truth. Everyone else are liars. Like says Jim Rome, OUT!

If you play 2k9 with an unbiased view you realize that it is not that superior.
Some overlapping textures are as bad as in Live 06...players driving through defenders for the layup, the defender's hand going through the attacker's thigh etc.
Backdown issue, lag issue, white shoes issue, horrible online mode (consoles) etc. etc...

The game is good but far from perfect. If 2k9 did not have current gen graphics I'd still play Live 2005 which is pretty solid.

PS And yes, Live 07 and 08 are a complete waste of time and money. Still, people should point out both pros and cons of 2k9 and don't live in a dream world like many people @ youtube do, making fun of Live and praising 2k9 as the best, godlike game ever.

@Leander:
2k9 gameplay (which is the most important thing, after all) is far superior to live. Of course there are issues, but at the moment, there is no better basketball simulation than 2k9. I haven't seen a player drive right through my defender yet.

Yes. the gameplay is better than Live's but a lot of people tend to praise 2k9 and don't even want to see glitches and problems.

Yeaa that's a good thread, i also would like to see them coming to 2k side, and the ones who are already here, can start working on projects together, bringing their power and ideas together great things can occur.

We don't know what's going to happen in a few months, though. Will 2KSports continue to make a PC version? Will EA bring Next-gen Live 2010 to PC this year? Live 09 improved alot over 08. It improved so much that many people prefer it over 2K9. If they continue the improvements and 2K10 doesn't do something amazing, Live 2010 may end up the better game.

A new game each year...as soon as the game is released, people start trying to create patches for everything...after many months somebody finds a way to edit this and that...people keep downloading these user-created patches and updates...and what next? They play a fully patched game for another month...then the next 2k or Live is released and the whole story repeats itself. Never-ending story.

I want to have a game that I can enjoy for many seasons of a dynasty or association. I don´t know if I should download cyberfaces and run many tests with different sliders...which takes time...or should wait till 2k10.

It is just a game but not just a game. A game you buy, glorify and replace with the next of the series. A game for some bucks among many other games...and in some months a game should be patched and tweaked to perfection just to be replaced by the next 2k or Live a few weeks later.

Crazy.

Be careful what you wish for....now that College Hoops 2k series has died, that's exactly what has happened with College Hoops 2k8 for me....
