A Sonics Patch?

Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

A Sonics Patch?

Postby Jazza09 on Thu Jan 22, 2009 4:56 am

Hey everybody, i'm new to these boards and just purchased a laptop. I'll be buyin 2k9 for the PC in a couple days but just had 2 questions:

(1) Is there a sonics patch released or to be released in the near future?

(2) Is there eventually gonna be custom scoreboards like there was with the Live games

(3) Is it possible to possibly edit arena sounds to add the real life ones with some sort of tool?

Thanks in advance, :)

1, no, but if you wanted to there are sonics all-time jerseys included in the game files which you could replace the thunder jerseys with. we dont have a proper court iff editor yet so they'll play and be called the thunder but the jerseys would be somewhat right.

2, yes, hopefully with a new iff editor we will be able to further edit the scoreboard

3, not yet, and probably not going to happen either since we never got a real proper tool for the NBA Live series, only audy06. however, most of the arenas already have a bunch of real life exclusive sounds to them
Opinions are my own.

Thanks a lot man, i thought it'd be possible to just change the colors of OKC's court and change the logo's...guess not though. I mainly ask for the 3rd one cause the main thing holding me back from playing as the Lakers is they hardly ever play the organ. And in real life they play it almost every play

just out of curiosity, how old are you and how long have you been playing basketball games?

so old enough to know the progression of recent basketball games,

How does it bother you that much that one arena doesnt have organ music? I mean yea I think the people who shit over wrong shoes are batshit insane too but it just baffles me how we get this damn good game and people have these major issues with it just because of ambient music.

Yeah, and games have a come a long way. But i think the game lacks in showing how each arena is different. Shoes are too big a deal to me, but arena's are. The organ is a huge part of Staples

but this game has player specific noises in the arenas that have them like the Pistons for sheed and whatnot. You said that the Lakers thing is holding you back from this game, I just don't believe how picky some people can be.
