Saving Preferred Position in User Profile

Hi,
I go to my User Profile and set my Preferred Position, to enabled Player Lock. Even if I save my profile, the "Preferred Position" always resets back to "none" when I start a new game. By the way, I only have one User Profile, and when I try to load it, it says "No User Profile file found" - though maybe because it is automatically loaded as it's the only User Profile?
My controller is the Wireless Xbox 360 Controller.
