DOes Everyone that uses text mod are using pirated copies?

Cuz the other guy started a thread saying that the textmod worked on the reloaded version which is PIRATED !
Ive always wondered why textmod woudnt work on my version now i know why because i actually BUY the GAME!!!
God damn if someone can prove me wrong then please do so and make me understand and if it is true its a shame on you people cuz ill be guessing that

Does this therefore mean if it is true that most people if not all people on this site use the pirated version ? cuz thats the only way you can use textmod ?

the only way to use texmod (why are people calling it textmod there is no text modification) is with an exe that does not load up steam, the games "DRM"

the reason it doesnt work is because the exe will first start steam, then start the game, which just messes everything up for texmod

so no, not all of us pirated the game, I'm willing to bet that most of us bought it, but we do need to use a "cracked" exe for the texmod patches to work.

but again, a chinese group has cracked the file formats so that we dont need to use texmod on anything, but they arent releasing any tools yet.

Yea thx for the reply the chinese peoples website is where i downloeded my mods from as i dont need textmod yea hopefully enough people actualyl bought their copy so that 2k sports will release 2k10 next year hopefully and i hope that nba live dont come back to pc as they ditched us 2 times now and kept giving us s h i t for the past 5 years. also I hope that those chinese guys share their tools with us so we can speed up the modding with this game theyre pretty slow at the moment they release like 1-3 mods per week!

i just hope that someone out of EGS finds a way to open and edit the files in the game...i dont think EGS will release the tool that they are using...

But they seriously should release the tools that they are using, it will bring 2K9 patching to a golden era, just like when we can patch almost everything in Live. There is no point in working hard to crack a tool, then keep it to themselves. After all, we're just like one big community, we have the same goal, what we have, we share. Why cant they share it this time then?

ok so how does this work? coz i launch the game from steam does that mean cyberfaces wont work? whats the workaround again?

my texmod doesnt work,i dunno why but when i run it says "doh" or "shit happens" can someone help???
