question on starting the game

i haven't played in like a week due to work..when i try to start the game for two days now, nuthin happens when i double click on the NBA 2k9 icon or steam...what i do is go to task manager and end process steam. then i am able to start steam but it's always stuck to the small screen that says "Connecting Steam account: myusername..."

what's the deal? now i cant play my game

yeah, that was happening to me too maybe the thing is internet connection because i remember that when I turned UTorrent off it connected me to steam in just a sec

maybe yes maybe not coz i wasnt downloading anything at that time and i have also turned off my antivirus...thanks for the input..
