ITS already been confirmed
http://2ksports.com/games/nba2k9/

BTW in my opnion 2k9 requirements would be almost the same with this games:::

PES 2009
Minimum requirements:
- Windows XP SP2, Vista
- Intel Pentium 4 1.4 GHz
- 1 GByte RAM
- 6 GByte HDD
- Geforce FX or Radeon 9700. Pixel/Vertex Shader 2.0 and 128 MByte VRAM.

if u can play games like CRYSIS and ASSASIN's CREED u can definitely play 2k9 in PC

Thu Oct 02, 2008 12:56 am

or BIOSHOCK - 2k games

Because it's from 2K as well doesn't mean it should be similar at all when it comes to PC requirements. You're comparing 2K9 with an Unreal Engine 3.0-based FPS game...

Thu Oct 02, 2008 1:27 am

ur right, stand corrected ;)

but still "FPS(especially the present one's)" games are always the one's who requires HIGH END COMPUTERS with the exception of the following

GTA 4
ASSASIN's CREED

this 2 games are ACTION ADVENTURE games

and SUPREME COMMANDER w/c is STRATEGY GAME

Sorry but those min req doesn't make any sense, a dual core 2 ghz as minimum, even crysis doesn't require that, and after that you put a higher cpu speed than the core 2 duo you recomended. The video card does make sense, a 8x speed dvd rom( who cares the game will be installed on the harddrive).

Thu Oct 02, 2008 2:42 am

Your so called speculated specs actually 3 years old Oblivion's sys.reqs.

Evidently they were posted on the official forums:

Min. reqs. generally mean just enough for open the game ,doesnt mean enough to run well.Waiting for recommended reqs :?:
Btw with Pentium 4 2.4,512 MB or more and NVIDIA 6600 or greater we couldve been play next gen 2k on pc 3 years ago

Thu Oct 02, 2008 4:45 am

seems kinda light on requirements for a 360 port. i would laugh if it was a port of the ps2 version. but then again, it is just the MINIMUM just for it to work, so with full settings and everything, it obviously has tobe better than that.

anyways, i would be able to run it if my laptop was working.

If it's a ps2 port ,pentium3 800 mhz,256 ram ,64 mb gpu will do fine

Thu Oct 02, 2008 5:42 am

Damn.. So close
Could I at least run the game with 128 MB ATI x300 ? It supports only Shader 2, as I know. Still, PES required Shader 3 as well, but I was able to run it quite well.

Thu Oct 02, 2008 7:06 am

lol..time for me to get a new computer

Thu Oct 02, 2008 7:14 am

lol. time for me to accept the fact that i won't be able to play this.

Thu Oct 02, 2008 7:33 am

i met the min requirement, but im still buyin a new 9600 gt juz so im not wasting my life

Thu Oct 02, 2008 7:50 am

Hi, i hope Nba 2k9 will run smoothly on my system.

Yeah, these requirements sound like this version is the PS2 version. NExt gen graphics would require something much better than this.

Thu Oct 02, 2008 8:21 am

Seems about right for minimum. My PC will run it just fine on max settings.

I Think If It's A PS2 Port It Doesn't Need Pixel Shader 3.0, Shader 2.0 Technology Is Enough For PS2 Ports.
