Should I turn off goaltending?

I'm pretty sure everyone here has heard of the goaltending glitch. You get a clean block near the basket, goaltending, you rebound a ball that's pretty obviously not going in, goaltending. I've just about had it with this glitch. I mean just a few minutes ago I blocked CP3's layup using wade UNDER the basket and the ball was still in his hand and would'nt you know it, GOALTENDING. Thoughts on this?

P.S. No they did not fix this on the official patch. Good god 2k, is it too much to ask you guys to fix one F'ing glitch?

This has been in the game for years. Just horrible collision detection around the basket, and horrible shot arc detection, which causes alot of bad goaltends. Most of the ones I get are from a rebound just off the edge of the rim.

You can try lowering the Vertical slider which lowers the maximum height players can jump for a rebound, block, and tip off, according to 2KSports.

i have my Goaltending off...it's very seldom that you make a violation that's an actual goaltending (and get away with it) if you turn it off compared to the number of times it will be called against you if you turn it on...

i sometimes accidentally knock the ball off while inside the rim...this happens to me at least once or twice every 5 games...but if i turn goaltending on, i get called for a violation at least 1 in every two CPU plays...

me too offensive goaltending LOL.. i think its a glitch because when gibson shot the 3 the ball stick in the ring for 2 sec... then lebron does a follow up tip in.. i won by 1pt.
