Player Lock/Gamepad Issues

My game lets me choose player lock in the keyboard mode which is highlighted in green, but not in the game pad mode which is highlighted in blue. Anyone know why or have this problem? I really want to use player lock. And why does the keyboard always default over to a team when I don't want to use it and I have to put it back in the middle/neutral and move my game pad to a team?

For the second one, go to "User Profiles" and see which one is set as 1.

You can set it in the profile.

But can you tell me how to set it with keyboard on the side selection screen?

Also if anyone knows how to change the CPU team over to rotation instead of stamina based subs.

I'm having the same problem when i goto the user profile the player lock option is only available for the keyboard profile and not the gamepad profile!

Anyone been able to set the player lock for the gamepad?

can someone make a patch for tha logitech rumblepad 2 controller. im tellin u it confusing to press tha action button/key. for example 3 = 1,2=3. this is a pain when tryin to pick a play or pass to a player u want.

I feel you on that. In Live I used the direct pass all the time, but in 2K the buttons don't change in the game no matter how you configure them. Now I don't use their version of direct pass, cause like you said it is confusing as hell when 2=4, 3=6, etc...

Theres no "Configure Controller" option like there is for the keyboard...

Yep, that's how mine is. The keyboard doesn't even have a picture in that screen, it's shown as a controller. And the keyboard lets me pick control player lock, but the controller won't.

This is residue of being a console port. The input device you use to navigate the menus becomes the default main controller, so to have the gamepad as the main controller use that to navigate the menus.
To set Player Lock for gamepad, you have to use the gamepad to select User Profiles, keyboard/mouse can only edit the keyboard settings.

Sorry for the round-about redundency, this realy is the best I can describe things on a Sunday afternoon.

Yeah man. The ultra simple fix that 2k could have done is to allow us to configure different buttons for Offense/defense/action/defense off ball/etc. I hate that setting Button 5 for shoot locks you into some ridiculous combinations on defense and action. Now my PG=right trigger, SG=left thumbpress, SF=shoulder button, Center=face button, PF= other face button. Absolutely awful and a chore to remember.

2k made a great game but this is the main flaw I can see.
