Editing Teamgear.dbf

I have been trying to correct the all of the teams' default shoes. So I went in and tried editing the appropriate field to do so, while matching those values with the I have for specific players. However, when entering the game and going to edit-player again and reassigning that player's shoe to default or checking on any player with their shoes set to default there is no change. That team is still using the same non-matching shoe. I am using a shoe pack.

The way I'm trying is this: edit a player in-game and assign a set of shoes, save changes, exit program and open DB commander- then correct the shoe values to look the way the player's does (If I'm editing the celtics, I edit one of their players and give him a green shoe- then change the teams default shoe to that).

I guess my question is how do you edit the teams default shoe holder?

Normally, you just have to change the SHOE value for the home and away jersey entries in teamgear.dbf (as well as any other jerseys you wish to change). It's possible that the shoe pack is causing some issues but the assignments should still work properly, so I can't really explain why it's not working.

Ah ok, thank you for your reply. I'll look into it more and see what comes of it.

I've looked closer when going to edit the values... I have been editing the wrong save file. I'm going to go and try it now.

PS: It works fine now.
