Questions about inbounds passing, defense, dunking

Sun Apr 15, 2012 10:54 am

Is it possible to change the player you make an inbounds pass to? I can't change the player (usually the point guard by default) or make a direct pass.

Is the defense and offense in the Playbook the default one used for all possessions? For example if I set the defense to 2-3 Zone in the playbook, then during a possession I call the Double Team, would it be back to 2-3 Zone in the next possession?

Also, is it practically impossible to do well in the slam dunk contest with PC controls? The only things you can do with the keyboard are the gathers and clutch/pump/windmill/tomahawk, there doesn't seem to be a way to alley-oop.

1. No, unfortunately.

2. I'm fairly certain your team will continue to run the play you've called, overriding the default, until you call another one.

3. The dunk contest is definitely intended for use with a dual analog gamepad.

Andrew, I think #1 may be possible, I mean I use a Dual analog Controller. And I press button 12 on my Logitech Dual Action (R3 on a Playstation controller) and then you simply push the button that is corresponding to the selected player's position.

Sorry, I misread that as changing the player inbounding the ball. Using Direct Pass should allow you to pass to a player other than the point guard off the inbounds pass. Directional passing should also work but is obviously less precise.
